My Megenta beauty~ My current work in progress right now~ I’ve already racked up maybe 40+ hours on her already but I won’t stop until she is perfect so I’ll keep plugging away.I think I’m pretty happy about her face and collar but everything else still needs a lot of work.

My Review set up! Oh Man this year has been Amazing, to see the growth in my own work makes me so excited and pleased! I can’t wait to keep paiting and finish up my lovel megenta doll peice. I worked over 40 hours on her already but I’ll diffidently finish her up this summer. I was very pleased with the feed back I got for my reviewers and peers. It was a very nice wrap up to this crazy semester. Although it was really hard to say good bye to my studio mates and Chris my teacher. I can’t believe I’m a juninor now! but for now I’m just focusing on summer and continuing to paint~~~
just got to work on a small kink with my other photos from reviews until then a little snippet of a painting im working on currently~
So I’m finally home and have some photos of my final Review board at school I’ll get them up tomorrow, I’ve very happy with the feed back I received from my reviewers! Sadly I am also also going through a really difficult time with my family currently and will try to keep posting consistently but I may lag every now and then because of home life complications Thankfully I have probably the most wonderful friends in the world who are helping me though it. But anyways let summer Begin!
a little sneak peek
Just working away almost half way done with her beading~

some small paintings I’m working on currently~~~
I wanted to do some really surreal scenes

My mini paintings~ I’m selling them for about 12-15 dollars locally so if you want them let me know but you can’t have them until my Review Board is over on the 18th.
They are roughly 3x3 (in) or 3x2 or I think 4x4 is the bigest one all in acrylic.
My final presentation for my Drawing Class. I showed the rough sketch of my final painting as well as the assortment of mini paintings I’ve been doing lately
A sneak peek to a painting I finished a while a go but took terrible photos off that will change soon! I’ll post the full picture soon!

Origin Drawing
So I did this drawing based around the story of how my Babushka and her mother escaped the soviet Union to America and the many things that happened to her along the way. She is a truly amazing wonderful strong woman who has seen so many horrible acts of war. Her father was killed by the Soviets and had to flee the country because they were coming after her, she escaped into Nazi Germany and was imprisoned in a Work Camp. They were able to escaped on a American Marine boat and began their new life in New York city. She did this all at the age of 13. I culturally identify with my mothers side and my Babushka more than my father mostly for the fact that I spent most of my child with her listening and talking to her but also because she celebrates and expresses her heritage and her culture
The Center figure is a common character in my work I do ramble on about her and everything but it would make this post way to long…
Enjoy!

Since this drawing is about Origins I wanted to show the origin of my final drawing as well from the small sketch in my sketchbook to draft to final copy and my inspiration which is my st. xenia icon my brother gave me from St. Petersburg.
